Professional garden design involves tailored horticultural schemes, site analysis and year round planting layouts, these layouts attract the wildlife, insects, bees, butterflies, birds and in turn pollinate the plants and trees for us to enjoy the colour and sculptures of the floral calendar.
Its the place where all the life of our planet revolves around, leaves to clean the air, roots to break up and allow the soil to breathe for the plants to thrive, the plants to naturally do what they have always done attract, seduce, create, nothing has changed in the garden for hundreds of years, and the garden and its inhabitants have adapted well, its us, the human race who find it hard to adapt.
When the Persians created great gardens, the Italians created gardens which would be copied for years and Versailles appeared it was all about being aesthetic, the garden was a visual adaptaion of a gardeners skill in working with plants and nature.
The problem with today is that before we start any project outside influences create a narrative we don’t really need, but are often forced to follow for the so called good of the planet. They speak of rewilding, drought tolerant, tropical, bee friendly, sustainable, the list goes on, we are being guided into what somebody else feels we should be doing but horticulturists have been doing it for years.
Garden design includes harmony, balance, rhythm, an elegance combined with an atmosphere that is created when all these things come together. We can easily sustain our planet and its inhabitants with the sensible use of plants, they will do the job we need them to and provide a home for all of us all we have to do is treat them with respect.

Learning in the garden - Discover, connect, explore, create, breathe
Your garden is a year round living class room, every season is different, there is always something to learn and new challenges which will test your life skills, it can be a transformation from a open space to a space of life, interests and surprises.
No matter what subject you have an interest in the garden will provide a section solely connected with it. Science, Maths, Literacy, Art and Design and languages, the latin names will become your every day labels in a short space of time. The garden will inspire your curiosity and your independent thoughts, it will be different to your neighbours, it not only has its own bio diversity but will allow you to create a bio diversity all of its own.

Well, rather than pay for a course, be given subjects totally irrelevant to your garden ( or interest ) and worry about a test at the end we come to you.
