Water and creating a home for wildlife

The area above was originally planted with Bamboo by previous owner, this had got out of hand and Liz and Mark asked if I could do anything with it. They had mentioned a water feature for wildlife and so to remove the need to take excess soil away I worked with it and dug into the area to create a wildlife pond. Using some materials from site I then carefully chose plants that would be easy to manage and could take the shade from the glorious Magnolia to the right. the level of water is quite shallow with some rocks out in for birds to bathe from but also added was a more deep corner area for some Grasses and reed like plants.
