A green garden for wide viewing

Mrs Goulding wanted a garden that had some life, some colour but it had to be visible from the main patio area as she found it difficult to get around the garden. I re-shaped the lawn, added some raised borders to give a little height and top dressed the borders for a woodland type of effect. The planting around the borders will generally look after itself with a Liquidamber at the top of the garden for maximum colour in the Autumn. All the raised borders will be planted with a mix of seasonal plants and perennials to keep the colour moving throughout the year. It was very wet when we planted but the grass improved dramatically by the Spring.
